Bill Davis

President

Second generation owner and president Bill Davis joined Davis Research in 1997. Bill was drafted into research work at Davis Research at a very early age. Bill heads the client services group and also serves as a focus group moderator.

Education:

Bill holds a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Hobbies:

In his free time Bill enjoys snowboarding, horses and is an avid horse polo player. 

Bob Davis

Chief Technical Officer

Bob Davis, Chief Technical Officer and second-generation owner, leads up Davis Research’s technology and security teams.

Education:

Bob holds a Masters in Business Administration from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business and a B.S. in Computer Science from UCSD.

Hobbies:

Bob enjoys travelling, hiking, cooking, eating, and coaching his 3 kids in sports.  He is an active member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and the Hollywood chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization. Bob is also on the executive council for PAPOR, the Pacific chapter of AAPOR.

Jason Kerns

Senior Director - Project Management

Jason Kerns, Chief Project Officer, joined the company in 1994. Jason has extensive experience in survey design, sampling methodology and statistical and written analysis. As an active member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), Jason is constantly working to stay abreast of the latest in sampling trends and response rate issues that impact the public opinion industry.

Education:

Jason holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University

Hobbies:

Jason’s personal interests include mountain biking, running, coaching his son’s sports teams and college football.

Courtney Harwood

Project Manager

Courtney Harwood joined Davis Research in 2009. She excelled in several roles, but her strong organizational skills drove a natural path to the project management team.  

Courtney manages a myriad of different B2B and consumer projects both domestically and internationally. She enjoys the challenge that complex, multi-modal projects bring to the table because they involve vigilant planning and an element of creativity

Education:

Courtney earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a Business Management specialization from California State University Northridge

Hobbies:

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her dog, cooking, traveling, hiking, reading and gardening.

Nick Mitchell

Project Manager

Nick came to Davis after extensive managerial experience in the qualitative research industry. For over eight years, he worked at the Los Angeles branch of Savitz Field and Focus, where he managed the office and assisted with establishing other branch offices.  The many roles he was required to perform prepared him well for the project management team.

Nick possesses a strong research etiquette and an almost obsessive attention to detail. He prides himself in implementing research of the very highest quality.

Education:

Nick holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Music Performance from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Hobbies:

Outside of work Nick and his wife enjoy spending time with their daughters as well as playing softball – where they first met and where he proposed. He is also an accomplished French horn player and can be heard performing in several local ensembles. His other hobbies include basketball, golf, trivia and karaoke.

Greg Shmavonian

Project Manager

Before joining Davis Research in 2002, Greg was employed at an automotive research firm where he analyzed data and prepared reports for their automotive and trucking clients. Prior to this, Greg worked as a civilian Research Assistant for the Navy Research & Development Center, as well as the Navy Health Research Center. 

Education:

Greg holds a B.A. in Psychology from California State University Northridge as well as a Master degree is Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University.

Hobbies:

Outside of work Greg enjoys spending time doing outdoor activities with his wife and sons.
